Oceanic Air Protect Varnish - Gloss Finish 5L - Blanchon

This polyurethane varnish offers high resistance to abrasion, impacts, scratches, and stains. Odorless, it preserves the natural appearance of the wood and enhances its grain. It is easy to apply and the varnish readily conforms to the wood's contours, preventing breakage.

Unlike other water-based varnishes, it does not obscure the wood grain and produces no whitish effect and can be applied to all types of wood.

The Air Protect® technology in this varnish can block up to 80% of VOC emissions from the floor and eliminate up to 40% of VOCs present in the ambient air. Enjoy a non-slip finish.

Finished and free:

• Raw wood (Matte - 10% sheen)
• Natural wax (30% luster)
• Satin finish (60% luster)

Preparation :

The wood must be clean, dry, and free of any traces of old varnish, oil, wax, or other finish. Sand the wood, finishing with 120-grit sandpaper, and carefully remove the sanding dust. The varnish is ready to use. Shake well before applying and do not dilute.

Application :

1. Three (3) coats of varnish are required to achieve the best results.
2. Apply the varnish in the direction of the wood grain using a synthetic bristle brush, sponge brush, roller, or spray gun. The slightly milky appearance of the product upon application will disappear during drying.
3. Allow 2 hours drying time between each coat of varnish and sand with 180 grit sandpaper.
4. Dust off before applying the following sofas 

Drying time:

• By touch: 25 minutes
• Between the sofas: after 2 hours at 20°C and before 48 hours
• Light traffic: 12 hours
• Usage: 24 hours
• Complete drying time: 10 days
•  First wet cleaning: after 10 days 

Interview :

• Dusting if necessary with a vacuum cleaner equipped with a natural fiber bristle brush.
• Clean with a soft microfiber cloth, lightly dampened with a very mild soap if necessary.
