Origin: Mexico and Central/South America.
Density: Very hard.
Color: Yellowish brown with dark stripes ranging from dark brown to almost black.
Uses: Fine furniture, joinery, flooring, veneers, shipbuilding, musical instruments, rifle stocks, turned objects and other small specialty wood items.
