Workability: East Indian rosewood can be difficult to work with tools due to its interwoven grain and density. Wood can sometimes contain chalky deposits which will quickly dull the edges. Bonds and finishes well, although the color of the wood's natural resins may accidentally bleed onto surrounding surfaces when applying a finish, so care must be taken with initial seal coats.
