Description
White oak panels - 4' x 8'
White oak is a light to medium brown wood, usually with an olive dominant. The almost white to light brown sapwood is not always clearly distinguished from heartwood.
The grain is straight, with an uneven texture.
Available thickness:
White oak panel cut on false quarter (Rift Cut), with Baltic birch core A/1 2C - 3/4" x 4' x 8'
The panels in white oak with a Baltic birch core are veneered on both sides and grade A/1. This results in a high-quality side and a very high-quality side. The veneer type, sliced on quasi-quarter (Rift Cut), gives a linear wood grain and will reduce the effect of cathedrals. This results in a veneer of exceptional quality and a lined pattern.
The core of Baltic birch plywood, also called multiple plywood, has more sheets (or folds), which are also thinner, than traditional plywood. The plywood is made entirely of cherry, a hard wood. These characteristics give it great rigidity and excellent stability.
The veneer and assembly of the panels are made in Quebec. The plywood made of Baltic birch comes from Eastern Europe or the Baltic countries.
It is mainly used for: Cabinet, furniture, etc...
