Description

Plantation Teak glued laminated panels - 1 1/2"

Plantation Teak originates from the region of India, Thailand and Burma. It was introduced to all continents for cultivation. The first plantations were developed around 1825 in Burma and then spread to more than 36 tropical countries. Plantation Teak offers an alternative to Teak from natural forests, because its price is lower. It is appreciated because it has a fine and tight grain.  In addition, it has the characteristic of being rot-proof, that is to say it is very resistant to fungi, insects and water. Teak is mainly used for naval carpentry, the manufacture of garden furniture, cabinetmaking and parquet flooring. The resistance of Plantation Teak is lower compared to Burmese Teak since it grows quickly.
