Description: Eastern Hemlock is a wood that is harder and more durable than spruce and pine. A semi-hard wood with a light brown color, it can be stained or left in its raw state, which will give it a silvered appearance over time.

Uses: Predominantly used outdoors, Eastern Hemlock is an excellent choice due to its good resistance to weather, rot, and minimal maintenance requirements. It is sold "green" (unseasoned) and in its raw state, which provides a chic rustic look.

Note: Since Eastern Hemlock is sold green (unseasoned), its dimensions will vary in thickness and width throughout the air-drying process.
