Origin: North America
Average Weight: 42 lbs/ft³ (675 kg/m³)
Common Uses: Indoor/Outdoor use. Flooring, millwork, boxes/crates, baseball bats, and other turned objects such as tool handles.
Color/Appearance: Heartwood is light to medium brown. The sapwood can be very wide and tends to be beige or light brown; it is not always clearly or sharply demarcated from the heartwood.

Workability: Produces good results with hand or machine tools. Glues, stains, and finishes well.
