Sansin ENS is a durable two-coat finish that can be applied to almost any surface, including millwork, siding and decks. It even enhances the performance of other coatings. Self-priming, it offers exceptional adhesion to nearly all surfaces while providing a beautiful satin or gloss finish.

Highly resistant to wear, ENS will not fade over time and offers one of the strongest UV protections available. To extend maintenance cycles, apply a coat of SDF or Classic before applying ENS. Whether your project requires natural, translucent or opaque finishes, ENS delivers outstanding aesthetics and long-lasting durability.

DESCRIPTION

Sansin ENS is an environmentally friendly two-coat finish specifically designed for vertical siding, outdoor furniture, doors and windows. This product is UV-resistant, water repellent, low VOC, non-flammable and easy to clean using mild soap and water. Its unique, rich and attractive formula provides long-lasting protection.

Sansin ENS is compatible with surfaces previously treated with SDF KP-11. It offers unmatched adhesion and can be applied over a wide variety of water-based or oil-based coatings available on the market. For optimal protection, use Sansin SDF or Classic as a first coat.

COLOURS

PREPARATION

• Ensure the surface is free of defects or deterioration
• Wash the surface using a pressure washer
• Replace defective pieces if necessary
• Sand the wood using a belt or orbital sander with 60–80 grit sandpaper
• The surface must be clean and free of dust, dirt, grease, wax and/or previous coatings

APPLICATION METHOD

Apply Sansin ENS using the desired method: dipping, brushing or spraying (pressure pot or airless).

PROCEDURES

• When using tinted product, mix thoroughly before and during application
• Spraying must be done using conventional spray equipment
• Continuously inspect the surface and wipe away any puddles or runs
• Do not overwork ENS due to its fast drying time
• Do not apply during the hottest part of the day or in direct sunlight
• Do not apply if the wood is hot to the touch
• Do not apply during rainy weather or cold evenings; the product requires 24 hours of drying time after application
• Read all application instructions before starting the project

MAINTENANCE

Vertical surfaces require maintenance every 3–6 years. Maintenance is needed when the surface shows signs of wear such as fading or erosion. Regular maintenance will help preserve colour, improve dimensional stability and maintain water repellency.

Periodically wash the wood using a pressure washer and/or Sansin Multi-Wash to remove dirt and dust. Maintenance frequency will depend on the quality of preparation, application and environmental conditions.

If fading or erosion becomes visible, clean the wood using a pressure washer and/or Sansin Multi-Wash to remove dirt and dust. Then apply a maintenance coat of Sansin ENS following the application instructions.

Exposure, application quality and colour selection will affect coating performance.
