KUNOS Countertop Oil – Livos
KUNOS Countertop Oil – Livos is a colorless oil that provides superior moisture protection, ideal for countertops and wood surfaces exposed to humidity. It has a low odor, is cost-effective thanks to its high coverage, and ensures an exceptional stain-resistant finish. It can be applied alone (2–3 coats) or as a topcoat over KUNOS 244 to further increase water resistance.
👉 Approved for food contact under German standards.

Surface Preparation:
- Sand progressively with successive grits.
- Furniture: up to 180 grit
- Floors: up to 150 grit
Application:
1st coat
- Stir well. Test on a small area.
- Apply a thin layer with a cloth, cotton wad, or pad.
- Wait 10 min, then wipe off excess.
- Dry for at least 12 h.
2nd coat
- Apply approx. 11 ml/m² (1 tbsp).
- Wait 10 min, wipe excess or polish immediately.
- Dry for at least 24 h.
3rd coat (optional)
- Apply approx. 4 ml/m² (1 tsp).
- Wipe off after 10 min or polish immediately.
Tips:
- For a satin finish, polish the 2nd and 3rd coats with a polisher or orbital sander (non-abrasive pad).
- Light sanding with 800 grit between 1st and 2nd coats improves smoothness and durability.
- ⚠️ Safety: due to the vegetable oil content, soaked tools (cloths, pads, abrasive dust, etc.) must be stored in an airtight metal container or submerged in water before disposal to prevent spontaneous combustion.
