KUNOS Oil for Interior Wood – Livos

KUNOS 244 Interior Oil – Livos is ideal for all types of solid wood: floors, walls, ceilings, furniture, and woodwork. It is also suitable for OSB panels on walls and ceilings. This oil enhances the natural wood grain and provides a satin to glossy finish, depending on the number of coats.

It is easy to use and can be applied by anyone, even without professional experience.

Coverage (depending on surface & application):

• 11 ml/m² ≈ 100 m² per liter (1,076 sq.ft./L) for the first coat
• 0.75 L ≈ 75 m² (807 sq.ft.)
• 2.5 L ≈ 250 m² (2,690 sq.ft.)
  (coverage may vary depending on wood type and application method)

Surface Preparation:

• Sand progressively with successive grits.
• Furniture: up to 180 grit
• Floors: up to 150 grit

Application Instructions:

1st coat

• Stir well before use.
• Test on a small surface to confirm color.
• Apply a thin layer with a lint-free cloth, cotton wad, or staining pad.
• Wait 10 min, then wipe off excess.
• Let dry for at least 12 h.

2nd coat

• Stir well again.
• Apply approx. 11 ml/m² (~1 tbsp).
• Wait 10 min, then wipe off excess or polish immediately.
• Let dry for at least 24 h.

3rd coat (optional)

• Apply approx. 4 ml/m² (~1 tsp).
• Wait 10 min, then wipe off excess or polish immediately.

Tips:

• For a satin finish, replace wiping with polishing on the 2nd and 3rd coats using a polisher or orbital sander (non-abrasive pad).
• Light sanding with 800 grit between the 1st and 2nd coats increases smoothness and durability.

3rd coat (optional)

• Apply approx. 4 ml/m² (1 tsp).
• Wipe off after 10 min or polish immediately.

Tips:

• For a satin finish, polish the 2nd and 3rd coats with a polisher or orbital sander (non-abrasive pad).
• Light sanding with 800 grit between 1st and 2nd coats improves smoothness and durability.
• ⚠️ Safety: due to the vegetable oil content, soaked tools (cloths, pads, abrasive dust, etc.) must be stored in an airtight metal container or submerged in water before disposal to prevent spontaneous combustion.
