PRONTO Monocoat oil for wooden furniture, walls and woodwork protects, colours and seals in only one application. Composed of natural oil and natural resin PRONTO enhances wood grain, protects it from premature wear, water, stains and makes the surface easy to maintain. With its high-covering power and monocoat application, LIGNA PRONTO oil is currently the most economical product for finishing your wooden projects. It is easy to apply and take 6 to 9 hours to dry depending on the colour you’ve chosen.

Formulated in renowned Italian laboratories with more than 25 years of experience, LIGNA products offer an “avant-garde” technology that is assembled in Quebec.

Professional Tip : PRONTO oil can be easily applied to all types of hardwood, domestic and exotic. You can add a second coat on surfaces used more intensively such as floors. The durability will be increased and the surface will be shinier. All interior wood surfaces can be finished with LIGNA PRONTO monocoat oil.

PREPARATION:

The surface must be clean and free of wax and varnish residue. Make sure the product is at room temperature before application.

Mix before applying. Sand wood with 100-120 grit sandpaper. Remove dust with a clean, dry, white cotton rag. Keep PRONTO at a temperature above 15 °C.

For high-density wood, such as maple or exotic wood, moisten with a clean mop or damp white cotton rag. When surface is completely dry (about 2 hours), sand gently with 220 grit sandpaper to break down the wood’s fibre. Remove dust.

APPLICATION:

Apply a thin coat with a clean and dry white cotton rag, a pad painter, or an application pad. After 15 to 20 minutes maximum, wipe along the wood grain to help penetration and remove excess oil.

Optional – To soften the surface and increase lustre by 20%, polish with a white nylon pad between 2 and 36 hours after application.

• After 6-9 hours: moderate and careful use;
• After 2-3 days: regular use;
• After 10 days: maintenance with LIGNA products.

NUMBER OF COATS:

Only one coat is required. However, two coats will increase lustre and the colour by 20%.

Wait 24h for a second coat.

WARNING: On low density woods such as pine, we recommend two coats to seal the wood correctly.

Optional – To soften the surface and increase the 20% of the lustre, polish with a white nylon pad between 2 and 36 hours after application.

COVERAGE:

150-300 sq. ft./litre according to the wood type.

MAINTENANCE:

Wait 10 to 15 days for the surface to be well sealed before it comes into contact with water.

REFRESHMENT COAT:

Apply another coat after 8 to 15 years depending on the use of your surface.

COMPOSITION:

Vegetal oil-based resin up to 54%; Safflower oil, abrasive oil, linseed oil, vegetal wax, iso paraffin and siccative.

VOCs:

Since PRONTO is a monocoat product, you use 4 to 5 times less product than most water-based products. If you do the calculation, the VOCs in your environment will be much lower.

FINISH:

Matte satin.

CONSERVATION:

From 2 to 3 years in an airtight container stored in a dry and cool place.
